1985

You know you're getting old when a picture from your childhood makes you weepy and giddy at the same time. When you think things like, "I wish my kids knew what that kind of freedom feels like" and "those were the good old days when life was simple".  Of course, life wasn't simple for me and my family in 1985, but visiting my cousins on the ranch and being turned loose to swim in cattle troughs buck "nekkid"  and ride 4-wheelers and pick berries and eat them straight off the vine....that made everything okay.  We weren't afraid of anything...except maybe Uncle Mike.
